- When you think about the birth, your body tenses up
- When you try to talk about it, people say “but look what you got, a beautiful baby”
- You feel grateful and guilty and scared, all at once
- You feel down, on edge or not like yourself since the baby came
- You wonder if something is wrong with you for still struggling
Nothing is wrong with you. A hard birth can leave a mark, even when the baby is healthy. Most moms never get a place to say that out loud. This group is that place.
What happens in the group
- A small group of 6 to 8 moms who get it
- Space to tell your birth story, if and when you want to
- Talk about the hard parts of the first year: sleep loss, guilt, feeling alone, changes in who you are and in your relationship
- Simple tools to calm your body and quiet the inner critic
- No pressure to share. Listening counts too.

Questions
Is this group only for moms with postpartum depression?
No. You do not need a diagnosis. The group is for any mom in the first year who feels down, anxious, on edge or not like herself, especially after a hard or scary birth.
Can I bring my baby?
Yes. Babies are welcome on camera. Turn your camera off whenever you need to feed or rock your baby.
How much does it cost?
$45 per session. I do not bill insurance, but I can give you a superbill to ask your insurance for out-of-network money back.
When does it meet?
Thursdays, 5:30 to 6:45 PM, for 8 weeks: October 22 to December 17, 2026, with no group on Thanksgiving (November 26). Online by secure video.
Can I join after it starts?
No. It is a closed group, so the same moms stay together for all 8 weeks. That is what makes it feel safe to share. If this round is full or already started, ask about the next one.
Who can join?
Adult moms who live in Pennsylvania and are within about a year of giving birth. Every mom has a free 15-minute call first to make sure the group is a good fit.
What if I need more than a group?
Some moms need one-on-one support first. On the free call we talk about what fits you best. If you ever have thoughts of harming yourself or your baby, call or text 988, or the Postpartum Support International helpline at 1-800-944-4773.
Services provided by Katya Fish, LAPC, under the supervision of a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania. This group is support and therapy, not emergency care. In a crisis, call or text 988.
